Mango giraffe

Preparation time:   Servings: 1

I still can not believe it: I have a ski champion girl at home! We have just received the score card for my daughter's first ever ski class. She did great; in fact she did so well that she skipped one class. From 'little penguins', which was the first beginner level, she went straight to 'big giraffes', skipping 'pandas'. Wow, that is really cool, not only she enjoyed the skiing, but she also learnt a lot! To celebrate her great achievements we made a cute giraffe for dessert. She loved it and was so proud! Me too!
Giraffe mango and yogurt mousse dessert for kids

  • 1/4 of mango
  • 1 tablespoon of natural thick yogurt
  • few dried cranberries
  • dried plum or few raisins

Did you know that the giraffe's tongue is about 50 cm (20 in) long? It is purplish-black in color, and is useful for grasping foliage, as well as for grooming and cleaning the animal's nose.

Preparation

Step1 Mix mango with yogurt until it has a mousse texture: Giraffe mango and yogurt mousse dessert for kids step1

Step2 Cut several cranberries into small pieces to make giraffe's blotches. Cut small parts from the plum or raisins to decorate the head and hoofs. Giraffe mango and yogurt mousse dessert for kids step2

Step3 Using a spoon, place the mango & yogurt mousse on a plate shaping a giraffe. Make the eyes with the yogurt and decorate the whole giraffe with the cranberries, plums and/or raisins pieces. Enjoy! Giraffe mango and yogurt mousse dessert for kids step3a
