One day, my daughter got interested in a gondola, a souvenir we brought from Venice where we’ve been some years ago. She asked plenty of questions and wanted to know how people can live in such a ‘city of water’. So we talked and talked, saw a lot of pictures and then we made this banana gondola for dessert. It made her day:)
- 1 banana
- 2 strawberries
- 3 blueberries
- 1 green grape
- 1 chocolate biscuit stick
- 3 toothpicks
Cut off the bottom of the banana, so it holds on the plate. Cut a small bit in the middle of the banana to make a place for two strawberry fellows. Cut off the tip of each strawberry and the grape.
Place the banana on the plate. Use the toothpick to connect the main part of the strawberry with the blueberry and the strawberry tip. This will make the fellow body, its head and the hat. Make two fellows like that and place them in the middle of the banana. Make a similar assembly for the grape and place the grape gondolier at the end of the banana. Make a small hole on a side of the grape and insert the chocolate biscuit stick there. Enjoy!
