Christmas trees - dessert made of kiwi and yogurt

It’s almost Christmas time, one of the most exciting periods of the year for all the kids! My daughter was also very excited when all the Christmas preparations started. This year she decorated our Christmas tree almost all by herself (with some help from daddy) and she was so proud! The same day, she received a Christmas card from her grandparents with a cute Christmas tree: so to celebrate, we made kiwi Christmas trees for dessert.

Ingredients

1 kiwi
2-3 tablespoons of natural yogurt
holiday sprinkles/ sugar pearls for decoration

Did you know that the custom of the Christmas tree was developed in Germany around 15-16th century? The life cycle of a Christmas tree from the seed to a 2-metre (7 ft) tree takes, depending on species and treatment in cultivation, between 8 and 12 years.

Preparation

Step1 Spread the yogurt on the plate to make the snow.

Step2 Cut the kiwi in half lengthwise. From both parts, cut off tree shapes with either a knife or a cookie cutter.
Place them on the yogurt and decorate with some holiday sprinkles and/or sugar pearls. Enjoy!
