Easter is approaching, but it is already present in groceries and craft stores, hard not to be noticed. No wonder then that my daughter is already into the Easter spirit, ready for Easter crafts and stories. She recently found some Easter stuff she made last year and was playing with all her colorful Easter eggs. So a little bit ahead of time, we prepared this Easter bunny sandwich, which she helped decorate. She loved it and called it “Bunny, my little heart” :) Hope your kids will love it too!
Ingredients
- 1-2 slices of bread
- 1 slice of ham
- 1 black olive
- creamy cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
- 1 slice of orange cheese
- yellow cheese
- red and yellow pepper
- chive
- parsley
Preparation
Step1 Cut the bread into the following pieces:
Step2 Cut several shapes from the ham, as shown on the picture, in order to decorate bunny’s ears, paws and nose. Cut off the black olive to make bunny’s eyes. Cut a slice of red pepper to make his mouth. Prepare the stripes of chive to make the mustache.
Step3 Cut an oval shape from the orange cheese to make the egg. Use the yellow and red pepper to make decorative shapes for the egg, as shown on the picture. Cut a small flower from the yellow cheese using a cookie cutter or a knife. Make a small dot from the ham using a straw or a knife. Prepare parsley to decorate the egg.
Step4 Spread the white cheese on the bread and place all the parts on the plate to make the Easter bunny. Decorate with all the pieces prepared in Step 2 and 3. Enjoy!
