Preparation time: 10min   | Servings: 1

This year again, Santa Claus came to our house! My daughter was really moved when she discovered that he brought her the gifts she wanted. Just like in the letter she wrote and even more! Lucky girl. As a big ‘thank you’ to Santa Claus we did this delicious sandwich.Santa Claus ham and cheese sandwich for kids

Ingredients

  • 1 round bread roll
  • a piece of red pepper
  • 2 slices of ham (2 different colors)
  • 1 radish
  • 2 tablespoons of creamy cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
  • 2 teaspoons of sour cream
  • 1 black olive

Did you know that many postal services allow children to send letters to Santa Claus which may be answered by postal workers/outside volunteers? Check the correct address applicable to your country and give it a try, your kids will be soooo happy to get a letter from Santa!

Preparation

Step1 Cut the bread roll in two. Cut a hat shape from the first part of the bread roll. Cut the red pepper in the same shape as the bread. Take the other part of the bread and cut off a circle from it. Cut a piece of ham in the same shape as the circle of bread – this will make Santa Claus face. Cut off a top of the radish to make the nose. Cut a small piece of the red paprika for the mouth.Santa Claus ham and cheese sandwich for kids step1

Step2 Prepare Santa Claus beard: in a bowl mix the creamy cheese with sour cream.Santa Claus ham and cheese sandwich for kids step2

Step3 Spread butter on the bread. Place the round piece of bread in a middle of a plate. Put a slice of ham on it. Place the hat shape bread above it and put the red pepper on it. Place the remaining piece of bread to make the beard. Cut off tops of the olive to make the eyes. Place the piece of radish for the nose. Cut off small heart shapes from the other ham to make the cheeks. Spread the preparation from step2 to make Santa Claus beard, hair and a pompon on the hat. Use a knife or a decorating bag to make it nicer. Place a piece of red pepper to make the mouth. Enjoy!Santa Claus ham and cheese sandwich for kids step3
