Teddy bear – baked eggs sandwich for breakfast

August 22, 2013 by Gosia

Preparation time: 10min | Cooking time: 10min | Servings: 1

Baked eggs for breakfast are so good and usually have less fat than scrambled eggs. If your kids don’t like them too much, you can present them in a funny way for your little tummies and they will love it:)

Vacation time or a weekend can be a perfect time to give it a try. You can make this cute teddy bear sandwich for your kid’s breakfast. With a little bit more of your morning time, you can have a delicious, nutritive sandwich with a baked egg. It is very easy to make, healthy and will keep a little stomach full for quite a while.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 slice of ham
  • 1 black olive
  • 1 cherry tomato
  • ketchup
  • butter

Supplies I used

Did you know that a diet of a chicken does affect the flavor of the egg?

Preparation

Step1 Preheat your oven to 360F/180C. Use a round mold to place the egg. Make sure the egg yolk is placed in the middle, at the bottom of the mold. Bake for around 10min.Teddy bear baked eggs sandwich for breakfast step1
Step2 Cut one circle shape and two moon shapes from the bread. The circle should be the same size as the mold used to bake the egg. Cut the same moon shape from the ham as you did from the bread. Cut one small heart from the ham using the cookie cutter or a knife. Cut the black olive in half. Cut the cherry tomato in half. Spread butter on the bread.Teddy bear baked eggs sandwich for breakfast step2
Step3 Place all the bread pieces on the plate to shape a little bear. Place the ham to make the bear ears. When the egg is ready, gently remove it from the mold and place it on the round bread. Place the black olives to make the bear’s eyes, cherry tomato to make his chicks. Use the heart cut from the ham to make the nose. Draw the mouth with a bit of ketchup.
