Call me Valentine – iphone shaped sandwich

January 31, 2014 by Gosia

Preparation time: 10min  | Servings: 1

The idea of this “Call me Valentine” sandwich was inspired by my daughter playing on my iphone:) She was drawing different shapes and coloring them. At one point of time, she made a big red heart. Then I remembered the Iphone shaped cookie cutter and it gave me an idea. I bought it already a while ago (just couldn’t resist when I saw it!), but honestly I did not have an opportunity to use it! At first I wanted to make iphone shaped cookies but then I thought that we were having enough sweets with our recently made chocolate fondant cookies, so I have decided to use it for a healthy lunch version.

My daughter helped me out to cut all the hearts from peppers and then placed them on the sandwich. She loved the end result and was really pleased to eat it all! Call me Valentine, Iphone shaped sandwich, Valentine lunch idea for kids, #valentinesideas, #callmevalentine, #iphone

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 slice of ham
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • red, orange and yellow pepper
  • butter

Supplies I used

Preparation

Step1 Spread butter on the bread and cover it with a slice of ham. I have used an Iphone shaped cookie cutter (just needed to buy it when I saw it!), but you can also cut the iphone shape with your knife. Cut small hearts from red, orange and yellow pepper. I have used a mini heart shaped cookie cutter. Call me Valentine, Iphone shaped sandwich, Valentine lunch idea for kids step1

Step2 Cut an iphone shape from the slice of cheese, but use only the external part and place it on the ham. Place all the pepper hearts inside. Cut a small rectangle and a small dot from the red pepper and place them respectively on the top and on the bottom of the iphone. Then all you need to do is say: “Call me Valentine!” :) Enjoy!Call me Valentine, Iphone shaped sandwich, Valentine lunch idea for kids step2a Call me Valentine, Iphone shaped sandwich, Valentine lunch idea for kids step2b
