Kiwi and apple smoothie with a little kiwi bear

Preparation time: 10min |   Servings: 1

After the peach and banana smoothie that my daughter loved, I made her a kiwi and apple smoothie. Homemade smoothies are such a great and healthy snack for kids. Moreover, there are so easy to make! This time, to make a simple glass of nutritive drink a bit more fun, I made a cute, little bear from the kiwi. My daughter loved it and said he looked very real:) Kiwi and apple smoothie with a little kiwi bear

Ingredients

  • 1 big or 2 small kiwis
  • 1/2 of apple
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla yogurt
  • 1-2 teaspoons of honey or agave syrup
  • 1 dried cranberry
  • 1 raisin
  • toothpick (optional)

Did you know that kiwi is a rich source of vitamin C (1.5 times the United States DRI per 100 grams) and vitamin K, and a good source of dietary fiber and vitamin E?

Preparation

Step1 If you have 1 big kiwi, then cut it in half: use one part to make the bear and the other one for the smoothie. If you have a small kiwi, then cut the bottom, so the bear can stand. Cut two round shapes for the ears. Cut the raisin in half.Kiwi and apple smoothie with a little kiwi bear step1
Step2 Make two small grooves and insert kiwi parts cut in Step1 to make the bear’s ears. Make small holes for the eyes and insert the raisins there. Make a small groove for the mouth and mount the dried cranberries to make a nose. You can either make a small hole to insert it there or use a part of a toothpick.

Step3 Mix the kiwi (1 small or 1/2 of big) with apple and yogurt. Add honey or agave syrup; adjust the quantity to your taste. You may want to add some more depending on how sweet your apple or your yogurt is.Kiwi and apple smoothie with a little kiwi bear step3
Step4 Pour the smoothie in a glass and place the little kiwi bear beside it. Your kids will love it:) Enjoy!Kiwi and apple smoothie with a little kiwi bear
