Easy felt hearts headband tutorial

January 26, 2014 by Gosia

We’ve recently made a cute Red heart flower headband and my daughter loved it so much that she wanted to make another customized headband.

When I stumbled upon pink and red felt hearts stickers, I knew there were going to be perfect for that. We first agreed on where to place the hearts on the headband and what color goes first. Then my daughter did almost everything on her own! I helped just a bit, holding the headband when she was placing the hearts. I can tell you, I was so proud that she made it on her own! She loved the result and wore it to school the next day:)

What you need

  • 1 headband
  • 2 felt squares of different colors or ready-to-use felt hearts: 4 big and 2 small ones
  • glue (optional)
  • scissors (optional)

How to make it

Step1 If you use felt, you need to cut 2 big hearts and 1 small heart from each color. I have got ready-to-use felt hearts stickers, so there was no need to cut & glue, that’s way it was so easy! Easy felt hearts headband tutorial step1

Step2 When the hearts are ready, glue smaller hearts onto the bigger ones, mixing the colors. I have used pink and red, so I have glued small pink heart onto the big red heart and small red heart onto the big pink heart. Then take the big hearts of the same color and glue them together with the headband in between. Easy felt hearts headband tutorial step2 Easy felt hearts headband tutorial step3a

Step3 When the first heart is in place, do the same with the second heart, overlaying the first one a little bit. Enjoy! Easy felt hearts headband tutorial step3b Easy felt hearts headband tutorial step3c
